How I Found My Way to This Work
Growing up, I went to a lot of traditional weddings. They were beautiful - full of flowers, good intentions, and picture-perfect moments. But I couldn’t shake the feeling that something was missing.
I saw couples slipping into roles that didn’t quite fit. Speaking words that didn’t sound like their own. Quietly wondering if they were allowed to do it differently.
As a queer, non-binary person, I knew that ache deep in my bones. The ache of not fitting in. Of longing for something more authentic, more tender, more real.
When my dear friends asked me to officiate their wedding - my first ever - I knew we had a chance to do it differently. They didn’t want tradition for tradition’s sake. They wanted something honest, intimate, and true. That moment cracked something open in me.
Beyond Weddings
At first, I thought my work was just about wedding ceremonies (which I now call Love Celebrations). But I started noticing a pattern: the ache of “not fitting in” wasn’t limited to weddings.
It showed up at birthdays, coming out journeys, personal transformations, and moments of self-love and healing. Over and over, I saw people longing to honor themselves, their loved ones, and milestones (big or small) in ways that felt deeply authentic and true, yet unsure where to begin.
I realized I wasn’t just called to reimagine weddings. I was here to reimagine how we celebrate, grow and express LOVE ITSELF!
